MORE THAN A BROTHER was written specifically for Orly Vardy’s brother. Orly reached out to Leopard Music asking if they knew of a lyricist who could write an emotional lyric for a song to be performed and dedicated to her brother at his 50th birthday celebrations.
Leopard Music suggested Chris Breen for this mission. (He also wrote the lyrics to PAINTING OVER DREAMS, performed by Orly and Eran Shkolnik).
Though the song was born out of a very personal message for Orly to deliver, it hopefully will have universal appeal in celebrating the closeness and emotional support shared by siblings
השיר נכתב במיוחד לאחיה של אורלי ורדי, לכבוד יום הולדתו ה-50. אורלי פנתה לחברת ההפצה שלה באנגליה בכדי למצוא לה כותב שיכתוב לה טקסט הקדשה מיוחד לאחיה היקר, במטרה להלחינו, להקליטו ולבצעו בחגיגת יום הולדתו של אחיה.חברת ההפצה הפנתה אותה לכותב מוכשר מאנגליה ששמוכריס ברין Chris Breen (שכתב את הטקסט לדואט המשותף שלה יחד עם הזמר ערן שקולניק Painting Over Dreams), שחיבר טקסט מקסים ומרגש והתוצאה בפניכם …שיר אישי ואוניברסלי כאחד, המוקדש לכלל האחים והאחיות – תיהנו
